Comparison
Peec AI alternative: picks by budget, prompts and engines
The best Peec AI alternative depends on which limit you hit first: the price, the number of prompts and AI engines, or the wish to track AI answers inside an SEO suite. On 3 October 2026 Peec AI's Starter plan cost $95 a month (€85 for visitors in Europe) for 50 prompts on 3 AI models of your choice, and even the $495 Advanced plan tracks only 3 models. The picks below are grouped by those limits. If you only need one reading, a free report may be enough.
Peec AI alternatives, grouped by need
Each pick below gets you past one of Peec AI's limits. Like Peec AI, the paid ones are AI visibility tools that track AI answers over time; the comparison table puts their engines, prices and prompt limits side by side. All facts were read from each vendor's own page on 3 October 2026.
- Cheaper start: Otterly.ai ($29 a month, 15 prompts) or HubSpot AEO ($50 a month, 25 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity — see our HubSpot AEO tool review).
- More prompts or engines: SE Visible ($99 a month, 200 prompts on 5 engines, about 30,000 answers a month) or LLMrefs ($79 a month, 500 prompts, all its engines included, weekly reports).
- Inside an SEO suite: SE Ranking, whose Core plan includes 100 daily prompts next to rank tracking for €109 a month (€87.20 billed annually) as shown to visitors in Europe — see the SE Ranking AI visibility tracker review — or Semrush's $99 toolkit with 25 prompts.
- Enterprise scale: Profound, with up to 9 engines on a custom contract and no published price.
- One reading before a tracker: Llamat's free report on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, re-checked weekly in a free dashboard.
Units differ between vendors. Peec and SE Visible state answers per month; Otterly.ai and Semrush sell prompts on a fixed set of engines; LLMrefs refreshes weekly. One tool's visibility score is also not the same number as another's. Before you compare, read what each metric counts — the AI visibility guide explains mention rate, recommendation rate, average position and citation rate.
What Peec AI offers today
Peec AI is one of the better-known AI visibility tools: a tracker that runs your prompts on AI platforms every day and reports how often your brand is mentioned, in what position and with what sentiment, next to your competitors. We read its pricing page on 3 October 2026 in a browser, because the prices are rendered with JavaScript and are not in the page source. The price also depends on where you are: the page shows dollars to visitors outside Europe and euros to visitors in the EU, the UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. Prices below are with monthly billing; the plan table has the annual ones.
- Starter: $95 a month (€85 in Europe), 50 prompts, 3 models, 1 project, 1 country, tracked daily. By Peec's own formula (prompts × models × days) that is 4,500 AI answers a month.
- Pro: $245 a month (€205), 150 prompts, 3 models, 2 projects, 3 countries: 13,500 answers a month.
- Advanced: $495 a month (€425), 350 prompts, 3 models, 5 projects, 3 countries and a Looker Studio integration: 31,500 answers a month.
- Enterprise: custom price, billed annually. Up to 13 models, daily or weekly tracking, unlimited projects, API access and single sign-on.
On Starter, Pro and Advanced you pick 3 models from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. Each extra model is a paid add-on; on Starter it is $30 a month billed annually (€25 in Europe). Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral and others appear only in the Enterprise column. Annual billing is cheaper — Starter drops to $80 a month (€70) — and every self-serve plan includes unlimited users. The site offers a free trial, but neither the pricing page nor the homepage says how long it lasts.
Peec's documentation says it collects answers through the AI platforms' web interfaces with browser automation, not through their APIs, so the platform picks the model and decides whether to search the web — “the reality for a logged-out user”, in Peec's words. The company behind it is Peec AI GmbH in Berlin, according to the imprint on its site.
Why teams look for a Peec AI alternative
These reasons follow from the pricing page above. They are our reading of it, not survey data.
- Three models on every self-serve plan. Even Advanced at $495 tracks 3; a fourth costs extra. SE Visible's $99 Basic plan covers 5 engines, and LLMrefs lists all its engines at $79 with no additional fees.
- Answers per dollar. Starter's 50 prompts produce 4,500 answers a month for $95. SE Visible's Basic plan lists about 30,000 AI answers a month from 200 prompts for $99, and LLMrefs 500 prompts for $79, refreshed weekly rather than daily.
- One country on Starter. A second market means Pro, with 3 countries, at $245. Otterly.ai lists 50+ countries on every plan.
- No free plan. There is a trial, not a free tier. When we asked ChatGPT and Gemini for free AI visibility checkers, none of the 12 answers named Peec AI.
- An answer before a tracker. Some teams first want to know whether AI names them at all, before they pay for daily tracking.
When Peec AI is the better pick
Peec AI is a good fit, and switching may not help, when:
- You want to choose the engines yourself, including Naver AI, which no other tool in our table names on its pricing page.
- Many people need access. Every Peec plan has unlimited users; SE Ranking's Core plan, for comparison, includes 1 manager seat.
- You track several brands or clients. Peec's pricing FAQ says prompts can be shared across projects and brands, and there is separate agency pricing.
- You want more than mention counts. The pricing table also lists source gap analysis, a robots.txt crawlability audit across 40+ AI bots, AI referral tracking and product-level tracking for AI shopping (availability varies by plan).
- You are in Europe and prefer to pay in euros to a company in the EU: visitors in Europe see euro prices, and Peec AI GmbH is based in Berlin.
To test the fit, compare answers per month on the engines you need, not prompts. Run the same 20 prompts in Peec's trial and in one alternative's trial during the same week, then count how many answers name your brand and which competitors appear instead.
Peec AI vs Profound and Semrush
When you type “peec ai vs”, Google suggests Otterly, Profound and Semrush (Google Suggest, United States, 3 October 2026). AI pairs them too: in our 3 October measurement, every one of the 47 ChatGPT and Gemini answers that named Peec AI also named Otterly.AI, 45 named Semrush and 44 named Profound. Facts below are from each vendor's own page, read on 3 October 2026.
- Peec AI vs Profound: Profound publishes no price. Its free trial runs 50 prompts a day for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, in 1 language and 1 region, and its Enterprise plan covers up to 9 engines on a custom contract. Peec publishes self-serve prices and lists up to 13 models on Enterprise. Our Profound alternative page compares Profound in detail.
- Peec AI vs Semrush: Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit costs $99 a month for 25 prompts tracked daily, with mentions from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity. Its knowledge base says there is no free trial, and 50 more prompts cost $60 a month. It suits teams that already use Semrush for SEO; Peec gives twice the prompts for $95, but it is not an SEO suite. See our Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit review.
- Otterly.ai: the cheaper start, at $29 a month for 15 prompts on 4 fixed engines, while Peec's Starter gives 50 prompts on 3 models you choose, Gemini included. Our Otterly AI vs Peec AI comparison puts the two entry plans side by side.
On how often AI names them, the four are close on ChatGPT: each appeared in 27 of 33 answers. Gemini named Semrush in 30, Otterly.AI in 27, Profound in 21 and Peec AI in 20.
What ChatGPT and Gemini say about Peec AI
On 3 October 2026 we asked ChatGPT and Gemini, logged out, 11 real Google searches about AI visibility, AEO and LLM SEO tools, three times each: 33 answers per engine, all of them successful. Both engines were asked through Czech IP addresses; Gemini also had its country set to the United States, which did not change the location it saw (test, 4 October 2026). Peec AI was named in 27 of 33 ChatGPT answers (82%) and in 20 of 33 Gemini answers (61%).
- ChatGPT named it in all three runs of 9 of the 11 searches, and early: in 24 of its 27 mentions Peec AI was among the first three tools named.
- Gemini named it on 7 searches, never first, and on average as the fourth tool. It skipped Peec AI for “best aeo tool” and “best chatgpt visibility tracker”, where ChatGPT named it in every run. One engine's shortlist is not the other's: if you use AI answers to shortlist tools, or to check your own brand, ask the same questions on both engines, more than once.
- Neither engine named it for the two searches for free tools, “ai visibility checker free” and “ai search visibility tool free”: 0 of 12 answers.
- Both engines placed it mostly with agencies and marketing teams. ChatGPT called it a “strong all-around choice for agencies and growing teams; good prompt, competitor, and citation tracking”. Gemini wrote that it is “highly rated for granular citation analysis, prompt-level tracking at scale”.
- The engines mixed Peec's two price lists. Ten ChatGPT answers quoted a price for Peec AI, mostly ranges such as €70–95 or $70–95 a month; two gave €85. Four Gemini answers said “around $95/month”. These are the engines' claims, which we only report; the pricing page itself showed Starter at $95 to visitors outside Europe and €85 to visitors in Europe, or $80 and €70 a month billed annually.
Being named often shows that AI knows a product, not that it fits your needs. All 59 tools from the same answers are in our study Which AI visibility tools do ChatGPT and Gemini recommend?, and the raw answers are public. How we ask the engines and count names is described in our methodology.
How this comparison was made
Every fact about a vendor comes from its own public pricing, product, documentation or imprint page, read on 3 October 2026; the sources are listed under each table. Peec AI's prices were read in a browser, in both currencies, because its page renders them with JavaScript. Where a page does not state something, we say so. This compares what vendors publish, not how well they track. Prices may have changed since.
Where Llamat fits
Llamat is not a daily tracker, so it does not replace Peec AI's ongoing monitoring. It is a free LLM Visibility Report with no sign-up, and its free dashboard re-checks your prompts once a week. You enter your website and e-mail address; after you confirm the address, we research real search phrases about what your site offers and turn them into up to 15 prompts. Each prompt is asked 3 times on ChatGPT and 3 times on Gemini, every time in a new logged-out session, and checked once in Google AI Overviews. The results usually arrive by e-mail within 30 minutes after you confirm your address.
It shows mention rate, recommendation rate, average position, citation rate, an AI Visibility score and the competitors named instead of you. Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Claude and Microsoft Copilot are available as paid add-ons on request. Use the free AI visibility checker for a first reading before you commit to a tracker.
