Otterly AI alternative: what to use when you outgrow the Lite plan
The best Otterly AI alternative depends on what you have outgrown. On 3 October 2026, Otterly's $29 Lite plan tracked 15 prompts, could not add more, and charged extra for Gemini. The next plan, Standard, costs $189 for 100 prompts. SE Visible lists 200 prompts with Gemini and AI Mode included for $99. LLMrefs lists 500 prompts with weekly reports for $79, and Peec AI 50 prompts on three models of your choice for €85. If you only need one reading, a free report may be enough.
What Otterly.AI offers today
Otterly.AI (written OtterlyAI on its own pricing page) is a self-serve tracker for AI search. Among the AI visibility tools we compare, it has one of the cheapest entry plans. Its pricing page, read on 3 October 2026, lists four plans. The plan table below has every limit.
- Lite, $29 a month ($25 billed annually): 15 search prompts, checked daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, with 1 workspace and unlimited team members.
- Standard, $189 a month, and Premium, $489: 100 and 400 prompts, plus API and MCP access, a Looker Studio connector and unlimited workspaces. Enterprise is priced on request from 1,000 prompts.
- Extra engines on every plan: Google Gemini and Google AI Mode cost $9 a month each on Lite and $59 on Standard. Claude costs $29 on Lite.
Every plan also lists support for 50+ countries, an AI prompt research tool, link citation analysis and GEO audits. The pricing page confirms a free trial without stating its length; Otterly's Query Fan Out page offers 14 days with no credit card required. That page also describes a free Query Fan Out tool, which simulates the sub-queries that ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews generate from one prompt.
How often ChatGPT and Gemini name Otterly.AI
AI engines name Otterly.AI often. On 3 October 2026 we asked ChatGPT and Gemini 11 real Google searches about AI visibility tools, such as “best ai visibility tools” and “best aeo tool”. We asked each search three times on each engine, logged out: both through Czech IP addresses (Gemini also had its country set to the United States, which did not change the location it saw). ChatGPT named Otterly.AI in 27 of 33 answers, and so did Gemini. Across both engines, only Semrush was named in more answers: 57 of 66, against 54 for Otterly.AI.
The pattern is sharp. For the nine searches that start with “best”, Otterly.AI was named in all 27 answers on each engine. For the two searches that ask for a free tool, “ai visibility checker free” and “ai search visibility tool free”, it was named in none of the 12 answers. ChatGPT tended to name it early, at an average position of 2.7 among the tools it listed. In Gemini's answers the average was 4.6. Peec AI was named in 27 of 33 ChatGPT answers but only 20 of 33 Gemini answers.
Being named is not the same as being recommended. Some answers also quoted prices, which we did not take as facts. The answers file lists the tools named in each of the 66 answers, and the full results are on our dataset page Which AI visibility tools do ChatGPT and Gemini recommend?.
Why teams look for an Otterly AI alternative
These reasons are our reading of the pricing page, not survey data. Most of them appear when a team grows beyond the Lite plan.
- A hard prompt ceiling. Lite has 15 prompts, and the pack of 100 extra prompts is marked “not available” on Lite. The next step is Standard: 100 prompts for $189 a month, 6.5 times the price.
- Little volume discount. Per prompt, Lite costs about $1.93 a month and Standard $1.89. Only Premium drops to about $1.22.
- Gemini costs extra, and more as you grow. Gemini and AI Mode cost $9 a month each on Lite but $59 each on Standard. Lite with Gemini, AI Mode and Claude comes to $76 a month. Standard with the same add-ons comes to $416.
- Reporting and integrations start at Standard. Lite does not include API access, MCP access, the Looker Studio connector or a second workspace.
Some limits are not where you might expect them. Every plan, Lite included, lists daily tracking, unlimited team members and 50+ countries. Some comparisons are also out of date: one alternatives post we read on 3 October 2026 still said Lite has 10 prompts and quoted a $989 plan. The pricing page showed neither that day.
When Otterly.AI is the better pick
Otterly is hard to beat at the low end. Stay with it, or start there, in these cases:
- You track up to 15 prompts. At $29 billed monthly, Lite was the cheapest monthly-billed tracker in our comparison table.
- You need Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity from day one. Lite includes both. SE Visible and HubSpot AEO do not list Copilot.
- You track several countries on a small budget. Lite lists 50+ countries. Peec AI's coverage table lists 1 country on Starter, and SE Visible names 7 countries.
- A whole team uses the account. Every plan includes unlimited team members, so seats never raise the price.
- You want content checks next to tracking. Every plan includes GEO URL audits (1,000 a month on Lite) and link citation analysis.
To check the fit yourself, run your Otterly prompts in one alternative's trial during the same week. The steps below show how.
Otterly AI vs Peec AI
When we typed “otterly ai vs” into Google on 3 October 2026, Peec AI was the only tool it suggested. The two products differ less in features than in how the entry plan is cut. Otterly fixes four engines and sells 15 prompts for $29. Peec AI lets you pick three models and sells 50 prompts for €85. The side-by-side table has the details.
- Engines: Otterly's four are fixed, and Gemini, AI Mode and Claude are sold as add-ons. On Peec Starter you choose 3 of ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI; one extra model costs €25 a month on annual billing.
- Countries: 50+ on every Otterly plan. Peec's coverage table lists 1 country on Starter and 3 on Pro and Advanced.
- In AI answers: in our 3 October measurement, ChatGPT named each of them in 27 of 33 answers. Gemini named Otterly.AI in 27 and Peec AI in 20.
Pick Otterly for the lowest entry price, for Copilot and Perplexity on the entry plan, and for many countries. Pick Peec AI if you need more prompts in one market, or Gemini without an add-on.
Otterly AI alternatives, grouped by need
The comparison table groups Otterly AI's competitors by the limit you hit. Every price was read from the vendor's page on 3 October 2026.
- More prompts for the money: SE Visible, at $99 for 200 prompts on five engines with Gemini and AI Mode included. Its Core plan has 450 prompts for $189, the price of Otterly Standard's 100. LLMrefs lists 500 prompts for $79, with weekly reports.
- Gemini on the entry plan: Peec AI (€85 for 50 prompts on 3 models of your choice) and HubSpot AEO ($50 for 25 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity).
- A lower entry price: Rankscale Essentials, from $17 a month billed yearly only. The page does not show how many credits it includes.
- AI tracking inside an SEO suite: SE Ranking Core, at €109 a month, tracks 100 prompts and 2,000 keywords daily. See our SE Ranking AI visibility tracker review.

Compare like with like
Prices are only comparable once the units are. Vendors count different things.
- Prompts: Otterly, Peec AI, SE Visible, HubSpot AEO and LLMrefs sell a number of prompts. SE Visible says its limit counts the prompts you add, not the checks it runs.
- Answers: Peec AI multiplies prompts by models and days, which gives 4,500 a month on Starter. SE Visible states about 30,000 a month on Basic. By the same arithmetic, Otterly Lite comes to about 1,800 (15 prompts × 4 engines × 30 days).
- Credits: Rankscale typically uses 0.25 credits each time it queries an engine, so the 1,200 credits on Pro cover up to 4,800 answers.
- Cadence: Otterly, Peec AI and SE Visible check daily. LLMrefs sends weekly reports and says every keyword is updated at least once a week. Rankscale lets you schedule checks from hourly to monthly.
- Currency: Peec AI and SE Ranking showed prices in euros. Rankscale showed us dollars in one reading and the same figures in euros in another, so check the currency at checkout.
The metrics differ too. One tool's visibility score is not the same number as another's. Our guide to AI visibility explains mention rate, recommendation rate, average position and citation rate.
How this comparison was made
Each vendor fact on this page comes from the vendor's own public pricing or product page, read on 3 October 2026. Peec AI's prices load with JavaScript, so we read them in a browser. Where a page does not state something, the table says so. The page compares what vendors publish, plus how often ChatGPT and Gemini named the tools in our own measurement. Our methodology explains how we ask AI engines and count their answers. Our other AI visibility tool alternatives pages follow the same rules. Prices may have changed since.
Where Llamat fits
Llamat is not a daily tracker, so it is not a like-for-like Otterly AI alternative. It is a free LLM Visibility Report, with no sign-up, and its free dashboard re-checks your prompts once a week. You enter a website and an e-mail address. After you confirm the address, we research real search phrases about what the site offers, and an AI critic keeps the ones that fit. They are then rewritten into up to 15 prompts in the market's language.
We ask each prompt three times on ChatGPT and three times on Gemini, every time in a new logged-out session, and check it once in Google AI Overviews. The results usually arrive by e-mail within 30 minutes after you confirm your address. The report shows mention rate, recommendation rate, average position, citation rate, an AI Visibility score and the competitors named instead of you. Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Claude and Microsoft Copilot are available as paid add-ons on request.
Otterly's pricing page does not say how many times each prompt is asked per check. We ask ChatGPT and Gemini three times because their answers vary between runs. In our measurement above, only 64% of the tools ChatGPT named for a search appeared in all three runs, and only 46% on Gemini. For transparency: neither engine named Llamat in any of the 66 answers.
