What the SE Ranking AI visibility tracker does

SE Ranking's AI visibility tracker page splits the AI Search Toolkit into three parts:

• AI Results Tracker: runs your prompts, records brand mentions and links, where they rank in the answer, and keeps copies of the answers and historical data.
• AI Competitor Research: measures any brand's or domain's AI presence, split into mentions and links, with up to five competitors.
• AI Source & Coverage Analysis: maps the domains and URLs that appear in AI answers and sorts them by type — media, blogs, forums — across 7 supported markets and five languages.

On collection, SE Ranking says the toolkit uses “direct UI-based monitoring”: it sends queries to AI platforms and captures the responses as a user would see them, rather than through an API. The data is also available through SE Ranking's API and MCP, so you can pull it into your own reports or an AI assistant.

The same page has a free check: enter a domain and up to five competitors, pick engines, and get mention and link counts. It allows 5 free checks a day.

Engines covered

The FAQ on the tracker page says the toolkit analyzes answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews. The pricing page lists 5 LLMs to track on both Core and Growth. The AI Search add-on's description names four engines — AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity and ChatGPT — for its tracker and competitor research.

SE Ranking AI visibility tracker pricing

AI tracking is part of SE Ranking's SEO plans. The pricing page listed, on 1 October 2026:

• Core: €87.20 a month billed annually (€109 monthly). 100 prompts tracked daily, 5 LLMs, AI competitive research for 5 domains, unlimited AI sources tracking — plus 2,000 tracked keywords and the rest of the SEO tools.
• Growth: €188 a month billed annually (€235 monthly). 250 prompts daily and AI competitive research for 15 domains.
• AI Search add-on: +€63.20 a month billed annually (€79 monthly) for 200 more prompts, with larger tiers of 450 and 1,000 prompts.
• Enterprise: custom limits and pricing.
• Free trial: 14 days, no credit card, with 20 AI prompts a day and AI competitive research for up to 3 domains.

SE Ranking or SE Visible?

SE Ranking also runs SE Visible, a separate AI visibility product without the SEO tools. Its site listed Basic at $99 a month with 200 prompts and 3 projects, Core at $189 with 450 prompts and Plus at $355 with 1,000 prompts, all on ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, Perplexity and AI Overviews, with a 10-day free trial. It says Claude “will be added soon”.

SE Visible tracks the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, in English, French, German, Dutch or Spanish. It collects answers through a browser, refreshes them daily and allows unlimited users. Its prompt limit counts the prompts you add, not the checks: 200 prompts on 5 engines is about 30,000 checks a month.

In short: if you also need rank tracking, audits and keyword research, the AI tracker inside SE Ranking gives you both for one price. If you only need AI visibility, more prompts per dollar or unlimited seats, SE Visible is the product built for that.

Who it suits — and who it suits less

This is our reading of SE Ranking's published terms, not a test result.

• Suits: SEO teams and agencies that already track keywords in SE Ranking and want AI mentions and links next to their Google rankings, at a lower entry price than most suites.
• Suits less: teams that need Claude or Copilot, markets outside SE Ranking's supported list, or prices in US dollars — SE Ranking's pricing page showed euros when we read it.
• Suits less: teams that only want AI visibility. SE Visible, or a standalone tracker from the AI visibility tools comparison, avoids paying for SEO tools you will not use.

How to test it in the 14-day trial

The trial allows 20 AI prompts a day, which is enough for a fair test if you choose them well:

• Pick up to 20 prompts your buyers ask, including some that name a competitor or a price.
• Before you start, ask five of them by hand in ChatGPT and Perplexity. After the first daily run, compare the brands and sources the tracker records with what you saw.
• Check the stored answer copies: is your brand named but not linked, linked but not named, or both? SE Ranking counts the two separately.
• Add up to three competitor domains in AI Competitor Research and note where they appear and you do not.
• Look at the source categories. If forums or media dominate, the work is outreach, not on-page content.
• Before buying, confirm which engines your prompts run on with the plan or add-on you would pay for.

Alternatives

If you work in Semrush instead, compare the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: $99 a month for 25 prompts, with no free trial of its own.
